Despite being the most populous state in the USA, New Jersey contains a great deal of ecological diversity. We have beautiful natural ocean beaches, mountainous rocky outcrops, wildlife-laden marshes and the Pinelands National Reserve. Natural areas are important to maintain drinking water quality, house our native wildlife, and for our own much needed recreation.
