Parsippany-Troy Hills Senior Center Portable Generator Purchase and Electrical Interconnection


PROJECT NO. PTH - 1385.00


Sealed proposals for Project No. PTH - 1385.00, Parsippany-Troy Hills Senior Center Portable Generator Purchase and Electrical Interconnection Project, will be received by The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills on the 3rd day of July, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. prevailing time in the Council Chambers at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Municipal Building located at 1001 Parsippany Boulevard, Parsippany, New Jersey 07054.  At that time and place proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Work includes supplying a new portable diesel engine-generator-set and trailer package, replacing an existing service entrance switchboard, installing a new portable generator connection box, and supplying and installing all associated equipment, appurtenances and start-up & training services per the contract documents.

No bid will be accepted unless made in writing on the forms furnished in the Bid Documents and unless accompanied by a bid guarantee made payable to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the base bid, but in no case shall the amount exceed $20,000.00.  The Surety’s Certificate along with the Surety Disclosure Statement and Certification shall accompany the bid.  Each Bid shall include a Consent of Surety stating that if the bid is accepted, the Surety providing the Bid Guarantee will furnish a Performance Bond in the form and in accordance with the terms of the Bid Documents.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 ET SEQ., and N.J.A.C. 17:27.  In addition, each bid shall include the Bidder’s Non-Collusion Affidavit, Ownership Disclosure Statement, Equipment Certification, List of Proposed Subcontractors, Affidavit of Non-Debarred Status, Site Visitation Statement, Bidders Qualification Statement with supporting data, Certified Resolution of the Board of Directors (if a corporation), the Bidder’s Certification of an Affirmative Action Program and Business Registration Certificate.  Bidders and all subcontractors shall be subject to The Public Works Contract Registration Act and New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act.

Drawings and specifications may be obtained on or after June 13th, 2014 at the Purchasing Office of the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, during regular business hours between 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. upon payment of a fee of $75.00 for each complete set of Specifications and Drawings.  The fee is non-refundable.

The Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids and to accept the bid which, in its judgment, best serves the interest of the Township.
