Route 46 West
Proceed past intersection of Route 202. At the next traffic light (Waterview Boulevard), take jug handle to right, cross over Route 46 and go straight. Follow the signs to the Recycling Center.
Route 46 East
Make a right turn at the traffic light on Waterview Boulevard (after the Parsippany Police Station). Follow signs to the Recycling Center.
Recycling Center Operations
The recycling center is only open to Parsippany residents.

- Saturday: 8:00AM – 11:45AM
Recycling Center Guidelines & Information
Effective June 1, 2020 the Recycling Center will reopen for Parsippany residents only with the following changes:
- The amount of people allowed in the recycling center at a time will be reduced. We do expect this to cause delays getting into the center, please be patient and wait in line in your vehicle. Please have you drivers license readily available for verification.
- Face coverings and social distancing are required. For the health and safety of our employees and residents while in the recycling center please wear a face covering (such as; non-medical masks, bandannas, scarves, cloth) and keep 6 ft. apart.
- No commercial vehicles, contractors, or trailers will be allowed until further notice.
- Please review your Township calendar or the Township web page for what material is acceptable. Should you have unacceptable material in your vehicle, you will NOT be allowed to enter the Recycling Yard.
We will be open our regular hours Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 1:45 PM and on Saturdays 8:00 AM – 11:45 AM
Proof of residency is required to enter the center. Contractors are not permitted . In regard to construction and/or other materials brought to the Recycling Center in a vehicle other than a car, please note the following: Such vehicle must be registered to you at your Parsippany residence Vehicles registered over 1 ton will not be permitted in the Recycling Center No commercial vehicles will be permitted in the Recycling Center No trailers or vehicles larger than a pickup truck will be permitted in the center on Saturdays due to the heavy volume of traffic in the yard.
Rented vehicles will be accepted at the Recycling Center Monday through Friday only. Prior approval and an appointment must be made by calling 973-263-7273.
Residents may drop off yard waste, recyclables, and metal items.
All containers for garbage, recyclables, and yard waste cannot be any larger than 35 gallons and must not exceed the total weight limit of 60 pounds.
Any hazardous materials will not be accepted at the Recycling Center. For example, oil based paints, pool chemicals, anti-freeze, pesticides, asbestos, driveway sealant, etc.
The following items must be taken to the Recycling Center:
- All construction material
- Railroad ties
- Roof shingles
- Sheet rock
- Empty or dried out latex paint cans
- Propane tanks (valve removed)
- Stumps and logs (no higher than 3 feet)
- Tires without rims
- Used motor oil (maximum 3 gallons per visit)
Recycling bins for used clothing and shoes are located at the recycling center. Please make sure that all clothing items are in good reusable condition and placed in plastic bags. Rags and ripped/torn clothing will not be accepted.
