The Engineering Division, managed by a professional engineer licensed in the State of New Jersey, is a division of the Public Works Department.

The Engineering Division oversees township infrastructure projects such as drainage, road improvements, storm water management and traffic signal maintenance. In addition it is the office that issues permits for any soil movement of 5 cubic yards or more, and any construction work over and under township streets or right of way, including repaving of driveways and retaining walls.

The Division of Engineering provides technical assistance to the Board of Adjustment, and Zoning Office. Upon approval by the Board, Engineering inspects the civil construction of the development to ensure compliance with Board approvals.
