The Parsippany Environmental Advisory Committee, the Parsippany Library, and the Whippany River Watershed Action Committee invite residents to an informative community program on light pollution and the steps we can take to protect our nighttime environment.

Light pollution can disrupt ecosystems, obscure our view of the night sky, and is linked to a number of human health concerns. This presentation will cover the basics of light pollution, responsible lighting practices, and policies that can help reduce unnecessary lighting in New Jersey and beyond.
