Sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Agent of the Township Parsippany-Troy Hills, in the County of Morris, State of New Jersey at the PURCHASING OFFICE, Municipal Building, 1001 Parsippany Boulevard, Parsippany, New Jersey, on WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM prevailing time, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read in public for:
EDWARDS ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PHASE II
A non-refundable fee of $75.00 will be required for each set of Bid Documents.
Specifications may be obtained at the Township Purchasing Office, 1001 Parsippany Boulevard, Parsippany, New Jersey, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily, except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
The project consists primarily of drainage improvements, curb installation, milling and resurfacing and full depth reconstruction of Edwards Road. Quantities will be provided prior to the start of construction. Major estimated quantities are as follows:
Hot Mix Asphalt Milling, 3” or less 22,000 SY
HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course, 2” Thick 3,300 Ton
Granite Curb 4,800 LF
The Specifications as amended in Section 108.11 indicate that this Contract provides sixty (60) days for substantial completion of the work.
All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the words “Edwards Road Improvement Project, Phase II.” Bid proposals must be addressed to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, 1001 Parsippany Boulevard, Parsippany, NJ 07054, Attention: Purchasing Agent. Delivery of bids must be in person, by overnight courier, or by mail. No bids will be accepted if they arrive after the date and time specified above.
Bids for said contract must be based upon and in strict accordance with the aforesaid specifications.
Bidders must present a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate prior to the award of the contract if it is not submitted with the bid.
All bids must be made on the standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications.
A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, must be submitted by the bidder.
The successful bidder shall be required to deliver to the Township an executed Performance Bond of the responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.
Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
The Township of Parsippany Troy Hills reserves the right to waive informalities on bids and to reject any and all bids, if deemed in the best interest of the Township to do so.
