Mayor Pulkit Desai
Pulkit Desai serves as Mayor of Parsippany-Troy Hills, bringing to the office a record of military service, professional experience, and community leadership grounded in accountability and public trust.
Born in India and raised in the United States, Pulkit embodies the promise of opportunity through service and perseverance. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, including activation during Operation Desert Shield/Storm, where he led Marines in mission-critical operations. For his service, he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal along with multiple service ribbons. The principles he developed during his time in uniform; discipline, integrity, and responsibility; continue to guide his approach to leadership.
In the community, Pulkit served as President of the Lake Parsippany Property Owners Association (LPPOA), one of New Jersey’s largest common interest communities. In that role, he led meaningful governance reforms, including restoring member voting rights, advancing transparency, and strengthening financial stewardship for over 2,200 property owners.
Pulkit is a devoted husband and father, and remains deeply committed to ensuring that Parsippany is a community where families can grow, succeed, and feel connected.
As Mayor, he is committed to responsible governance, fiscal discipline, and inclusive leadership, with a focus on delivering practical results while maintaining the long-term strength and stability of the township.
