Master Plan
What is a Master Plan?
Parsippany’s Master Plan is a “blueprint” for the Township. It outlines Parsippany’s vision for the future and provides community-established principles for the orderly and balanced future economic, social, physical, environmental, and fiscal development. The document is not a law or regulation, but it provides guidance to elected officials and decision-makers when they make land use, zoning and capital investment decisions.
The Master Plan relies heavily on community outreach, stakeholder interviews, and existing plans and studies completed by the Township and other agencies. Of note is the 2014 Parsippany Troy-Hills Master Plan Reexamination Report, which provided a statutory review and update of the required elements of the Master Plan in accordance with the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL). The 2020 Master Plan represents the Township’s continuing effort to ensure that its planning policies and land use goals and objectives remain current and reflect the issues affecting Parsippany-Troy Hills.
