Parsippany Schools Receive Significant Boost in Funding from New Jersey State Budget

Posted March 15, 2024

The residents and taxpayers of Parsippany have reason to celebrate as the recent passing of the New Jersey state budget has paved the way for a substantial increase in  education funding for the Parsippany school district. The district is expected to receive $12,069,785 for the 2024-25 school year, which is an increase of 13.95 percent over last year’s amount.

With these additional resources, the school district will be better equipped to enhance educational programs, improve facilities, and support the dedicated teachers and staff who play a crucial role in shaping the future of our community. "We are thrilled to see this boost in funding for our schools and are grateful to the state legislators and  policymakers who worked to prioritize education in the budget," said Mayor James R. Barberio. “We look forward to the members of the Board of Education effectively  allocating these funds and continuing to find ways to alleviate the burden on our taxpayers.”

The increased funding reflects a shared commitment to educational excellence and underscores the belief that investing in education is an investment in the future of Parsippany. It is a testament to the collective efforts of our community who advocate tirelessly for the best interests of our children.
